Why UX Design?

After years of guiding families through life’s most difficult moments as a funeral director, I discovered the transformative power of design in enhancing human experiences. Now, having completed CareerFoundry’s UX Design Bootcamp and Google’s UX Design course, I’m seeking internships, freelance projects, or entry-level UX roles where I can apply my empathy-driven approach to crafting intuitive digital experiences.

Skills & Strengths

  • Empathy-Driven Design – My background in funeral service sharpened my ability to understand diverse perspectives, a skill I bring to user research, personas, and journey mapping.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset – Whether designing seamless services or intuitive interfaces, I thrive on solving complex UX challenges with creative, user-centered solutions.

  • Tech-Savvy & Adaptable – Transitioning into UX required me to embrace new tools (Figma, Notion, Usability Testing) and adapt quickly—skills that are invaluable in design.

What’s Next?

I’m eager to apply my UX skills in a collaborative, real-world setting through internships, freelance opportunities, or full-time roles. I’m actively networking, refining my portfolio, and open to mentorship to continue growing as a designer.
